Branding & Design
Design for the 11th Annual AAF Benefits Bash featuring A Hard Night's Day.
The Annual AAF Benefits Bash is a charitable event benefiting Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) Charity hosted by the American Advertising Federation. Dubbed the "Beatles Bash," the event features A Hard Night's Day, the Beatles Cover band that plays for this event at the Fort Worth Flying Saucer. In addition, For the past 10 years, Warren Douglas Advertising as designed the theme for the event; this includes posters, tickets, billboards, and print ads. The Creative Team produces several concepts, and the designers "compete" with one another to pitch their individual concepts to Keith Powell, the District 10 Governor, Benefit Bash Chair and owner of the Fort Worth Key Magazine. This year also marked the 50th anniversary of the Beatles Album "Yellow Submarine" and this year's theme was based on their song "A Day In the Life."
For my solution, I began to conduct extensive research on the Beatles, the song and its meaning, and the time period in which it was released. I became inspired by Psychedelic art and letterforms, and the concept of "The Game of Life". Based on my research, I created several concepts that invoked the time period or the lyrics of the theme. As the first intern to have her design chosen for this event, I then began to fully brand the concept.
